Community by encouraging active participation and positive network building.

Introducing Our Food Project

At Severn Angels Housing & Support (SAHS), we are committed to supporting families, marginalised communities, and individuals affected by the ongoing cost of living crisis. To help ease the burden, we have recently launched a Food Project, which is designed to provide essential food support to those in need.

This initiative, still in its early stages, is a collaborative effort involving dedicated partners and individuals who share a passion for making a difference in our community. Together, we aim to ensure that no one goes hungry, even during these challenging times.

The Christmas Homeless Crisis

Our Mission

The Food Project seeks to:

  • Provide access to nutritious and essential food items for families and individuals in crisis.
  • Build a supportive network of community partners to maximise the impact of food aid.
  • Raise awareness of the challenges posed by the cost of living crisis and work towards long-term solutions.

How You Can Get Involved

If you’d like to support this initiative, there are several ways to get involved:

  • Donate Food or Essentials: Contributions of non-perishable food items or basic necessities are always welcome.
  • Volunteer Your Time: Help us with sorting, packaging, or distributing food to those in need.
  • Partner With Us: We’re always looking to collaborate with local businesses and organisations that share our vision.

A Growing Impact

Though the Food Project is just beginning, we’ve already seen the difference that collective action can make. Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every partner who joins us helps to strengthen our community and bring hope to those who need it most.

Let’s work together to ensure that everyone has access to food security, no matter the challenges they face.

SAHS Domestic Abuse Program

Feel Empowered: Rebuilding Lives: A Programme for Survivors of Domestic Abuse

We’re thrilled to share a life-changing new resource, published in January 2025, called Feel Empowered.

The programme itself has already been utilised prior to publication with great success, proving to be a powerful tool for survivors of domestic violence on their journey to empowerment.

Created out of a deep passion for women’s empowerment, Feel Empowered combines evidence-based insights on domestic violence with practical strategies to help survivors move forward and reclaim their lives. The book provides examples of how domestic violence can manifest in different cultures, highlights key domestic violence laws, and offers a comprehensive overview of the multidisciplinary resources available to those affected. It’s not just a guide for survivors—it’s a valuable tool for anyone looking to understand domestic violence, foster resilience, and embrace personal and professional growth.

Why This Matters: Feel Empowered is more than a book—it’s a stepping stone toward transformation and empowerment. By purchasing this programme, you’ll also be directly supporting Severn Angels Housing & Support (SAHS). 100% of the proceeds will go towards our work in supporting and empowering the women we serve.

We’d be incredibly grateful for your feedback on this resource and how you think it could further support individuals and organisations in tackling domestic violence.
