The possibility of being forced into homelessness due to their inability to keep up with rising living expenses is a terrible reality for thousands of people across the UK. According to the most recent government statistics, homelessness has increased 11% in just three months. Despite working full-time, 10,560 households were judged to be homeless or in danger of becoming so, according to the most recent data from the government on homelessness. This winter, the cost of living problem may leave 1.7 million households without a place to live.
When somebody is already having difficulty finding a safe & stable place to live due to their financial situation, it is impossible to manage with the rising cost of living. Rent consumes more than 30% of their income. All of these things raise the possibility that someone will become homeless due to rising costs of living & necessities.
Once somebody becomes homeless, it becomes challenging to get rid of this issue. Without a stable residence, it can be more difficult to get funds & claim benefits. It’s also hard to open a bank account or find employment.
